Logo Design — Service Schedule

For consumers, businesses, education providers, charities and organisations

Version 1.0 dated 1 October 2026

This Service Schedule explains our Logo Design service. It applies only when it is named in your accepted Order and was supplied to you before acceptance. It must be read with that Order and whichever of our Consumer Terms and Conditions or Business Terms and Conditions applies to you.

At a glance

This summary and the detailed terms below both form part of this Service Schedule. The detailed terms explain the summary.

What is included

  • An initial consultation covering the organisation, audience, values, intended uses, preferred or excluded styles, colour and naming.
  • Up to three initial concepts for the overall creative direction.
  • Development of one concept selected in writing, with revisions charged at the agreed hourly rate.
  • A standard logo pack containing a print-ready vector pdf, agreed png and jpeg files, and colour and one-colour variants.
  • A basic reference sheet recording colour values, named typefaces, minimum size, clear space and variant use.

What is not included

  • Printing, physical products and delivery unless ordered separately.
  • Raw working files, rejected concepts, templates, design tools and editable Adobe Illustrator files unless a cleaned final approved .ai file is separately ordered.
  • Paid fonts, stock imagery, photography, illustration, translation, legal advice or specialist regulatory checking unless expressly included.
  • Ongoing alterations, format conversion, archive storage or support after completion.
  • Full brand strategy, naming, a comprehensive brand manual, bespoke illustration or mascot design unless separately ordered.
  • Company-name, domain-name or trade-mark searches, registration or legal clearance.

Important to know

  • The service is charged by time. The Order records the hourly rate, billing basis, estimate and any spending authority.
  • We aim to complete each normal stage within five Working Days after receiving everything needed for that stage. These are targets, not guarantees.
  • The client must check and approve every word, number, image, dimension, colour and production detail in writing before finalisation.
  • Printing is a separate Order and is available through us only where an appropriate HelloPrint product exists.
  • Screen and printed colours can differ, and normal material, cutting, registration and finishing tolerances apply.

1 How this Service Schedule works

1.1 This Service Schedule applies only to the Logo Design service and deliverables identified in the Order. Work, products or outcomes not identified in the Order are outside scope.

1.2 If you are an individual buying wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession, our Consumer Terms and Conditions apply. In all other cases our Business Terms and Conditions apply.

1.3 The accepted Order, applicable main terms and this Service Schedule form one contract. Their priority is determined by the main terms. A clear project-specific provision in the Order may vary this Schedule, but nothing restricts a mandatory consumer right.

1.4 This is a one-off service unless the Order expressly describes a continuing element. There is no automatic renewal for the one-off work.

2 Service scope and suitability

2.1 This service is suitable for new or existing ventures requiring a practical visual identity mark.

2.2 The scope may include one approved logo direction and the agreed variants for print and screen use. Only the items, quantities, sizes, versions, languages, formats and uses identified in the Order are included.

2.3 Extra items, substantially different versions, new directions or work required because the brief changes are additional chargeable work.

3 Design process and deliverables

3.1 We begin with a consultation about the organisation, audience, values, intended uses, preferred or excluded styles, colour and naming. We may record the agreed requirements in a written brief.

3.2 We prepare up to three initial creative concepts for the overall direction. These are exploratory concepts, not three fully developed versions of every deliverable unless the Order expressly says otherwise.

3.3 The client selects one direction in writing. We develop that direction and prepare proofs. Further work on another concept or a restarted direction is additional work.

3.4 Revisions are charged at the agreed hourly rate from the first revision unless the Order states a fixed included allowance. Feedback must be clear and consolidated through the authorised contact.

3.5 After written approval we prepare a standard logo pack containing a print-ready vector PDF, agreed PNG and JPEG files, and colour and one-colour variants. A print-ready file normally means a non-editable PDF prepared for the agreed size, bleed, colour mode and production specification.

4 Charges and payment

4.1 The Order states the charges, VAT treatment, payment schedule and any deposit. Consumer prices include VAT. Business prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

4.2 An estimate is a good-faith indication based on information then available; it is not a fixed quotation, cap or guarantee unless the Order expressly says so. We will seek approval before material work outside the agreed scope or spending authority.

4.3 Chargeable time includes work reasonably required to deliver the service, administration specific to the work, substantive communications, testing, third-party liaison, travel where applicable and correcting problems that we did not cause.

4.4 Revisions, printer liaison, pre-flight checks, exports, file conversion and correction of client-approved or client-supplied errors are chargeable. Third-party products are charged only when included or approved.

5 Target timetable

5.1 Subject to availability, cleared deposit and cooperation, we aim to complete the consultation within five Working Days of contract formation; initial concepts within five Working Days after the completed consultation and receipt of required material; each normal revision within five Working Days of complete feedback; and final files within five Working Days of approval and receipt of any production specification.

5.2 These are targets, not guaranteed deadlines. A large or complex project may have a staged timetable. A critical deadline is binding only if expressly agreed as such in the Order.

5.3 A target pauses while we await content, instructions, approval, payment or third-party input and may be revised after a scope change.

6 Client responsibilities and approval

6.1 The client is responsible for the brief, supplied content, approvals and lawful intended use. Approval of a proof authorises finalisation or, where separately ordered, print submission.

6.2 Changes after approval are additional work. An error reasonably visible in an approved proof is the client’s responsibility unless it resulted from our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

  • Check the availability and legal suitability of the proposed name and obtain any trade-mark or other professional advice required.
  • Explain the intended media, sizes and contexts so appropriate variants can be prepared.
  • Provide accurate, final and authorised wording, images, logos, brand material and other content in a usable format.
  • Confirm ownership or permission for every name, mark, image, typeface, quotation and other supplied item.
  • Name one authorised decision-maker, give prompt consolidated feedback and obtain any internal, legal, professional, safeguarding or regulatory approvals required.
  • Download and back up final files; this service does not include a permanent archive.

7 Printing, suppliers and production

7.1 Printing is not included unless placed under a separate Order identifying the product, quantity, material, finish, price, delivery and proofing arrangements.

7.2 We offer and supply printing only where a suitable product is available through HelloPrint. If it is not, we may prepare artwork to a client-appointed printer or manufacturer’s specification, but we will not source or manage a different print supplier unless expressly agreed.

7.3 If the client appoints a printer or manufacturer, it must obtain and supply that party’s correct template and technical requirements before final files are prepared. Later conversion is chargeable.

7.4 Third-party availability, specifications, prices and delivery times can change. We remain responsible for our contractual duties but do not guarantee a third party’s performance or matters outside our reasonable control.

7.5 We use reasonable care not to knowingly copy another brand, but do not guarantee registrability or freedom from third-party objections.

8 Intellectual property and source files

8.1 The client retains ownership of supplied material and permits us to use it only as reasonably required for the service and legal compliance.

8.2 Until full payment, all rights in our work remain with us. After full payment, the client receives a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and distribute the approved final artwork for the intended personal, organisational or business purpose.

8.3 If a cleaned .ai file of the final approved artwork is separately ordered and supplied, we assign copyright in the bespoke final artwork to the extent we own it. The assignment excludes our pre-existing materials, reusable tools, templates, know-how, drafts, rejected concepts, stock assets, fonts and all third-party material.

8.4 Without that separately ordered .ai deliverable, copyright is not assigned. Third-party material remains governed by its own licence. Any paid font or asset must be separately approved and charged.

8.5 We may display the final work in our portfolio unless the client opts out. Personal contact details will be redacted from personal stationery examples unless express permission is given.

9 Originality, corrections and retention

9.1 We will not knowingly copy another brand and may refuse or end work if the client insists on unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing or unauthorised content. Work performed and commitments already made remain payable, subject to mandatory rights.

9.2 After delivery, we will correct without charge an error introduced by us that makes the final file differ from the approved proof. Later changes, preference changes, new formats and client-supplied or client-approved errors are charged at the current hourly rate.

9.3 We do not promise to keep working or final files after completion. The client must promptly download, check and securely retain the deliverables.

10 Data protection and confidentiality

10.1 Each party must comply with applicable data-protection law and the privacy, confidentiality and security provisions in the applicable main terms. The client remains responsible for its lawful basis, privacy information, data accuracy, retention decisions and handling of rights requests for data it controls.

10.2 Where we process personal data on behalf of a business client, the Article 28 terms in the Business Terms apply. The subject matter is the Logo Design project; processing lasts for the service and the agreed or legally required retention period; its nature is receiving, storing, viewing, organising, adapting, transmitting, backing up or deleting data as needed to perform the service; its purpose is to provide and support the contracted service; the types of data may include names, roles, business or personal contact details, signatures, photographs, quotations and other supplied content; and the people concerned may include the client, its staff, customers, pupils, students, members, guests and other people shown in the material.

10.3 No special-category or highly sensitive data is expected unless expressly agreed after an appropriate assessment.

10.4 You must not provide data outside the agreed scope. You must promptly tell us about legal, regulatory, safeguarding, confidentiality or residency requirements that affect the service.

11 Consumer cancellation and mandatory rights

11.1 A consumer entering a distance or off-premises contract will normally have 14 days from contract formation to cancel, subject to the statutory exceptions. The Consumer Terms explain how to cancel and include the model cancellation form.

11.2 If you expressly request services to start during that period and later cancel, we may charge a proportionate amount for services supplied up to cancellation. The service cancellation right is lost after full performance only where the statutory request, consent and acknowledgement requirements have been met.

11.3 If we supply downloadable files, software, credentials or other Digital Content during the cancellation period, we will obtain any separate express consent and acknowledgement required before that supply starts. Statutory remedies for faulty or misdescribed Digital Content remain unaffected.

11.4 Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised may fall within the statutory cancellation exception. We will identify that consequence before accepting the relevant print or goods Order. Faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming goods remain subject to statutory remedies.

12 Suspension, cancellation, termination and offboarding

12.1 Suspension, termination, non-payment, material breach, insolvency and their consequences are governed by the applicable main terms and the Order. We may pause work where required information, access, approval, cooperation or cleared payment is missing.

12.2 You may ask us to stop before completion, but work properly performed and authorised third-party commitments remain payable, subject to consumer cancellation rights and mandatory remedies. Any unearned balance will be dealt with under the main terms.

12.3 If the project is inactive for 30 days because we are waiting for the client, we may give notice and close or reschedule it. Restart is subject to availability, current rates and chargeable re-familiarisation time.

13 Service standard, remedies and limits

13.1 We will perform the service with reasonable care and skill and materially in accordance with the Order and this Service Schedule. Goods and Digital Content must meet the standards that mandatory law requires.

13.2 The five-Working-Day stage times and any production or delivery estimate are targets, not guarantees, unless a binding deadline is expressly stated in the Order.

13.3 Technology, design and troubleshooting involve dependencies and uncertainty. We do not guarantee a particular commercial, security, ranking, performance, recovery or compatibility outcome unless expressly stated as a guarantee in the Order.

13.4 If the service does not meet the required standard, applicable correction, repeat-performance, price-reduction, repair, replacement, refund and other remedies in the main terms and law apply. Nothing in this Schedule excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13.5 Liability limits, insurance, complaints, dispute resolution, governing law, force majeure and other general matters are governed by the applicable main terms.

14 Completion

14.1 The design service is complete when we make the approved final files available in the agreed format, subject to sums due. A separate print Order is complete under its own delivery and acceptance terms.

14.2 No ongoing monitoring, alterations, storage or support is included after completion. Later editions, rebrands, new versions and conversions require a new or varied Order.
